Twitter suggested to me that I follow Parko Polo (a.k.a. Edinburgh-based artist Edward McGowan). So I clicked on his profile, which took me to his website, and was delighted to discover all of his charming, colorful illustrations. Like these four for the National Library of Scotland:
This witty illustration (“A seemingly empty room of ninjas”), which he created for the Collective Nouns Project, would sell well as a print:
And this “Age of Adventure” illustration reminds me of The Twenty-One Balloons – one of my favorite childhood books.
If I had been caught up on my blog reading, I would have seen that he was just featured on Grain Edit.
