This “Metropolis” collection of porcelain vases, boxes, lamps and other items by Spanish firm Lladró Atelier (a creative division of Lladró) is quite pretty, don’t you think? It sort of stopped me in my tracks. I think it’s the lamp.

My grandfather used to work for this company. Their objects are always so delicate and beautiful. He used to save all the broken parts from the shop and fix them in his basement. It was the sweetest little labor of love.
This post brought back some nice memories. Thanks, Molly!

That is really cool – I can easily imagine him lovingly fixing the pieces in his basement.

This latest collection is amazing. I do also like the old retired lladro pieces.
