I’m a child of the 80s, so I picked some handmade neon favorites for you. Also, I thought you might need some help waking up this morning.

I have a long list of things I want to get done today, yet here I sit, daydreaming:
Beautiful, light-filled Swedish homes via Skeppsholmen. (These photos are bigger and more beautiful when you view them on their website.)
We’re supposed to get a little snow this weekend, and I’ve already promised my 8 year old that we could do some baking. I bought her one of these little heart-shaped pie pocket molds from Williams Sonoma, so we’re going to try them out and have some fun.
I’ve been looking for some small creative projects lately – anyone have some recommendations? Or suggestions/requests for crafts projects you’d like to see here?
Happy Weekend!

Ran across this card by Shortstack Press recently and wanted to share it with you. I think it’s a beautifully designed card – the perfect amount of sweetness to send to someone who needs it.

Yesterday I tweeted a plea to companies* that make boxed kid valentines to please start selling them as sets of 25 or 30. Class sizes are bigger than 20 these days. Are you with me? I passed up some really adorable boxed valentines because I didn’t want to buy a second box for the extra 3 or 4 cards I needed, and bought cardmaking supplies at Paper Source instead.
*an exception: eeBoo makes really sweet valentines in sets of 30 + 2 teacher valentines (but they don’t come with envelopes, and I think envelopes are half the fun).

If you are not a fan of Valentine’s Day, I suggest you skip reading Charlotte’s Fancy for the next month, because I love it.
Here are a handful of my favorite valentines:

If you’re looking for nice kids’ boxed valentines, I’d vote for Peaceable Kingdom Press, eeBoo and Meri Meri (girl | boy) valentines, but there are lot of printables (like Olliegraphic) and other options too.
More favorite valentines to come. Stay tuned.
p.s. Don’t forget to leave me a comment if you want to be entered to win some handmade envelopes. Deadline is midnight tonight!

The newly-opened Scandic Grand Central in Stockholm is gorgeous, isn’t it? After seeing these pictures, I’m dreaming of visiting Stockholm again.
A few years ago, we stayed in the Scandic Hasselbacken in Stockholm, and it was one of the prettiest hotels we’ve stayed in. I highly recommend it, especially if you have younger kids, because it’s close to a lot of fun things to do, including Junibacken and Skansen. (And it has the most amazing, organic breakfast spread you have ever seen.)
